I find two key objective behind speed of growth of Android, one is Open source will be cost effective and attract mid and small size business owners to jump in to the development. and second point is the back up and support of Google to enhance it until success. and last point is adoption of Android by multiple mobile developers to make it popular in users.
iPhone and Android are the real competitor in coming days as per current sales and market review figures. Lets see the coming future span of quarter with iPhone 4.0 innovation with Android 2.2 enhancement.
