Overview : Time and Motion is the key to improve and enhance productivity for manufacturing of railway train bogie production at Savli plant of Bombardier LLC. There are team of 20 business process and production analyst who need to get trained on the concept of Time and Motion, Lean manufacturing and Kaizen basics.
Challenge: Challenge was how to measure productivity as multiple workers are working towards big bogie of train, so takt time from video or visual device is not possible. We got key task to design standard methodology to measure and count it.
Improvement: Average 19% productivity improvement measured during implementing some of basic tools of Time and Motion.
